Yuba River 2026 Spring Fishing Trip Announced

The Oakland Casting Club is excited to announce our early spring outing to the beautiful Yuba River for 2026!
Fish Host: Simon Lee
Cost: Fee for the outing is $75
Dates: April 11-12
Limit: 12 persons
A rare opportunity to fish and camp the lower Yuba River at the UC Research Center Property! This private stretch offers about 2.5 miles of exclusive river access with low fishing pressure, making it a top spot for wild rainbow trout (known for their strong fights) and an occasional steelhead.
Members arrive Friday 5:00pm and depart Sunday 5:00pm and can enjoy 2 full days of fishing and 2 nights onsite camping. For those who wish not to camp can arrange their own lodging at nearby motels or join us for 1 day.
An outing information sheet will be sent out to registrants one month before the trip regarding directions, arrival and departure time, recommended flies, fishing techniques.
Please register and pay early - UC property requires full payment several months in advance.
