Fall River 2026 Fishing Trip Announced

The Oakland Casting Club is excited to announce our early summer outing to the beautiful Fall River for 2026!

Limit:            6 persons 

The Fall River is the largest spring-fed system in the United States. It is an excellent trout fishery, and its constant supply of clean, cold water creates a nearly perfect environment for aquatic vegetation, insects, and trout to thrive. Hatches occur nearly every day, providing great opportunities to fish emergers and dry flies—a fly caster’s paradise right in our own backyard.

Open to all current OCC members, participants will be staying in the Wes-Bank House at Circle 7, which sleeps 4–6 people and includes a full kitchen with all the utensils needed to prepare a 5-star meal, as well as full bathrooms. We will check in on June 24th and check out the morning of June 26th.

Guests of Circle 7 may rent boats for $125 per day—highly recommended. The boats are equipped with an outboard gas engine, trolling motor, anchor, life vests, and seats. Many fly fishers prefer to hire a guide, who will supply the boat. Either way, the Fall River is an incredible fishery that every trout fly fisher should experience. The fee for the outing is $200-$225 for six people and covers lodging only.

The fee is refundable only if another club member replaces a registrant who drops out. Registrants hiring a guide must arrange their own guide service. A list of guides will be provided in the Outing Information Sheet (OIS). In most cases, guides are happy to meet customers at the Circle 7 dock. Please confirm meeting times and locations with your guide.

An Outing Information Sheet will be sent to registrants one month before the trip. It will include all information regarding directions, arrival and check-out times, boat rentals, guide details, productive fishing techniques, recommended flies, and boat operation tips. If there is enough interest, I am happy to host a pre-trip fish talk a couple of weeks before the outing to cover everything in more detail.

Please register and pay early—Circle 7 requires a deposit and full payment several months in advance.
