OCC Member To Be Inducted Into California Outdoors Hall of Fame

In case you missed the SF Chronicle article, OCC member and Director, Chris Korich, just became the top vote recipient for the 2017 California Outdoors Hall of Fame.

Chris, along with 3 other deserving winners, will be inducted this Saturday at 3:30pm, in the Adventures Theatre at the International Sportsman’s Expos (ISE) show in Sacramento.

‘12’ must be a magic number for Chris. He joined OCC in 1970 and by age 12, was teaching fellow members and testing tackle for major manufacturers at the pools.

This past August, Chris won his 12th world title at the ICSF World Flycasting Championships, but more rewarding, he coached OCC junior member, Maxine McCormick, 12, to become the youngest gold medal World Champion in the history of ALL sports!

OCC members and friends are encouraged to attend this Saturday’s ISE show in Sacramento. Come help us cheer on Chris at his ‘Hall of Fame’ induction for 40+ years of unselfish coaching, teaching, casting achievements and tackle contributions, benefiting anglers worldwide.
